So glad to see it hasn't left you. I've never cross-country skied; can't say that it looks fun OR easy to me! I'd rather just walk....Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01550786937196525098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9113326581808647426.post-26944385196453157432021-01-25T22:23:46.994-04:002021-01-25T22:23:46.994-04:00Oh my, I so enjoyed your post, I am laughing so ha...Oh my, I so enjoyed your post, I am laughing so hard that the tears are running down my face. I must share it with my brother in NT, who has recently taken up cross country skiing and has shared his stories of face plants and gymnastics. It's his birthday so he will enjoy a good laugh too!

Word to the wise (or unwise) if you are ever walking on high heels again on the ski trail, please take your high heels, er, skis, off and walk yes walk on the far side of the trail. It is true people shouldn't walk needlessly on the trails, mostly because we don't get much snow to cover tracks and our skis can fetch up on the divots your high heels make. But better safe than sorry. Swallow your pride, hike your skis over your shoulder and walk. With snow build up on the grip of your skis, going down hill is treacherous. When your body lurches forward and your feet don't follow it's a good recipe for breaking an ankle. This happened to a friend (no really, not me, a friend) a few years ago on our trails.
So, thank you for sharing your story, thanks for giving me such a laugh, and ski safe!Carolyn Deschene Bembridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053648335200408776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9113326581808647426.post-56849646684903749422021-01-25T21:01:33.791-04:002021-01-25T21:01:33.791-04:00Oh my goodness!
